Lana del Rey is not only proving to be a master in creating wonderful music, no the lady is also putting her miles above every other artists with her cinematic videos. The singer has premiered the video for her fourth single ‘National Anthem’.
The video which is just under eight minutes, is introduced by Lana taking on the historical event of Marilyn Monroe singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to the American president Kennedy in 1962 and builds up to that fatal moment where the
president got killed. Rapper A$AP Rocky is seen in the video as the late president, while Lana takes on the role of his wife Jackie. It’s pure nostalgic.
‘National Anthem’ is the fourth single to be released from Del Rey’s global chart debut ‘Born To Die’. The track will be released on July 9 and succeeds the singles ‘Blue Jeans’, ‘Born To Die’ and ‘Videogames’.
