In all fairness when the duo ‘Karmin’ , real life lovers Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, unleashed their debut single ‘Broken hearted’ a few months ago, we were a bit undecided whether we could really get hooked on them. But boy oh boy, if there were any doubts, their new single ‘Hello’, taken from their debut album with the same title, has really washed away all the doubts we had.
The video for the track has now officially been unveiled, and sees Amy strutting her stuff in Chinatown, while fiancee Nick Noonan decides to clip his hair. Not a usual concept for a video, but as Nick is just as nice to look at as it future spouse to be, they could have really given us shots of the two for all we care. It’s colourful, fast paced and poppy, just as we like it. In fact colourful, fast paced and poppy is exactly how you can describe the track as well. We’ve had it on repeat ever since hearing it for the first time.
We’d like to get away from comparing tracks to already established people but for this once, why the heck. Think in the style of Marina and the Diamonds ‘Radioactive’ and ‘Power & Control’ -era and you won’t be far off, not to mention Amy’s vocal efforts which during the track go a tad Nicki Minaj at some point. Expect this track to take over the radio stations in the near future and dominate the charts.
