Though snippets and the full length version of former X Factor judge Kelly Rowland new track ‘Ice’ has been available on the net for quite some time, nobody’s really been sure about the release date for it. But that’s all in the past now as the track has been confirmed, by online retailer Amazon, having the track scheduled for release in the UK this Sunday, August 26.
On the r&B mid tempo track, Kelly teams up once more with rapper Lil’Wayne, which reminds us of the collab between the two for Rowland’s track ‘Motivation’, appearing on her third studio album ‘Here I am’. The main difference is that ‘Ice’ sounds a lot more ‘Icier’ than ‘Motivation’. Considering the latter didn’t chart in the UK, we’re not really sure how well Kelly’s going to fare with ‘Ice’ this time, taking into account she’s been scoring better in the eurodance tracks on this side of the pond.
The single is said to be the lead from her fourth studio album. A title or release date for the album is yet to be announced.
