British girl band The Saturdays have premiered their new single ’30 Days’ on BBC Radio 1′s breakfast show this morning. The fivesome, surprised everyone at the beginning of the year by teasing on twitter, they had gone into the studio to work onto new material, despite their album ‘On Your Radar’ had only been released in November.
Mollie, Frankie, Una, Rochelle and Vanessa are definately heading into the ‘Tangled Up’ era of Girls Aloud, with their new track. It’s very similar in consistence to their smash hit ”All Fired Up”. ”All Fired Up”, is probably the girls biggest hit to date, just missing out on the number 1 spot in the charts. There’s the similarity to Girls Aloud, but we also can’t stop recognizing the very similar Alexis Jordan ”Happiness” feel to ”30 days” so from that perspective we wonder why the Saturdays didn’t decide to give the track ”Faster” from their latest album a try on the chart first before releasing new material. So especially for you, we have put the track ‘Faster in this thread as well. Feel free to compare
But we’re not complaining, 30 days is what it says on the tin, it’s a girl band pop track. Give it enough airplay and it could go the same way as ‘All Fired Up” even though the latter is without a doubt much more catchy on a first hearing.
The new single ”30 Days” will be out May 13th
