T.G.I.F Oceana ‘Endless Summer’ Video

It’s Friday evening and time for a major weekend. Radio 1 is celebrating it’s big Hackney weekend with loads of superstars taking the stage while England is taking on Italy at tomorrow’s Euro 2012. Yet the weekend kicks off tonight with another important football match; Germany against Greece. So what a better way then have a look at our German friends and what’s reigning in the charts.

Keeping football in mind, and a banger for Friday to kickstart it all left us with this rather infectious track by German singer Oceana. The Wedel-born with Afro-Martiniquais descent is currently scoring a huge hit at home with the official Euro 2012 home track ‘Endless Summer’. Though she’s been active in the music industry since 1998, it’s her first big hit, taken from her new album, which is also out today.

‘Endless Summer’ is as the title says summery, it’s got the instant recognizable dance beat which was previously prominent in the tracks made by Romanian producers and singers like Inna and Alexandra Stan. Based on how those tracks fared, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this going down the same route and be a likely contender to become the European summer hit across the continent. Perfect for our TGIF chapter.

Good news for the fans, the track is already available through iTunes and any other online retailer.

Tulisa kicks off the summer

Tulisa, once in a not so distant past member of London based group N-Dubz and the reigning X Factor Judge champion, has been through quite a turbulent week. Earlier in the week a rather unpleasant video was leaked on the internet, which showed footage of the star and an ex-boyfriend being intimate. After having apologized publicly, even though she didn’t do anything wrong, the singer revealed the details for her very first debut single.

Over the weekend, Tulisa, premiered the video for her very own debut single ”Young”, which is set to be released May 7th.  If you are looking for the perfect summer tune, don’t look any further, Tulisa has it all in the bag! It’s a big club track, quite similar to the Rihanna’s smash hit ”We Found Love” ft Calvin Harris and therefore has all the right ingredients to become the perfect summer anthem of 2012. The lyrics ”Forgive for what I have Done… we are we are we’re young” couldn’t be more up to date to what the singer has just been through recently. Leaving that aside it’s a nice summer anthem for youngsters and dance music lovers. And believe it or not, ever since the track has surfaced,  the sun has been shining full on here in the UK!  Thank you dear Tulisa!

The video for the track, was recorded in Miami, and is also breathtaking, the singer looks absolutely gorgeous.

Tulisa is the second bandmember to release solo material since the group has split up. Her cousin Dappy, has since released the number 1 hit single ‘No Regrets’ and ‘Rockstar’ ft Brian May. 3rd member Frazer is currently concentrating on writing songs for other artists and has been closely involved in making the album of Tulisa.

”We are Young” will be released May 7th, via iTunes.

LMFAO apologize for Party Rocking

Dance duo LMFAO, who had the honours to perform with her majesty Madonna during the Superbowl have revealed the latest cut from their album ‘Sorry For Party Rocking’ and guess what yes they’ve gone for the titletrack.

Accompanied with a 7 minute long video, the guys are taking it one step further, annoying the hell out of their neighbour who calls the police because they are partying again.

While we thought LMFAO were really cool when they released ‘Let the Bass Kick In Miami Girl’, ‘Party Rock Anthem’ and even ‘Champagne Shower’ with Natalia Kills, their latest cut is not exceeding expectations and turns them into a novelty act, rather than the fresh dance act they were when they started.

Enjoy the video

”Sorry for Party Rocking” is available for download via iTunes now.

Ones to Watch: Alexandra Burke – Elephant Video Release

Exciting times ahead for X Factor winner 2008 Alexandra Burke, after a few delays, the lady herself is returning with her brand new single ‘Elephant’. The track is the lead of her second album, which will be hitting us later during the year.

And it’s been well worth the wait. While it takes a few listens to appreciate the song, Alex has kept quiet for a while and reinvented herself from what she did on the ‘Overcome’ album and turning into a bit of a club queen. For ‘Elephant’ she has asked dj Erick Morillo to step in and they sure are in for a winner, here. It’s clubby, it’s bouncy a proper club anthem.

In the video Alex parties a la‘’Rihanna’’, raving with her mates in a factory environment, busting some good moves. And funnily enough it suits the song very well. We were kind of hoping for an elephant in the video, but well we can’t have it all.

Splendid comeback Alex!

‘’Elephant’ will be available to download on iTunes 11 March.

Ones to Watch: Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick ft Skin – If This Ain’t Love

Hey folks! We almost forgot… It’s Friday evening!!! So the weekend has started. Many of you will probably hit the town this weekend and have we got a treat in store for you, club-lovers.

During the summer Erick Morillo and his partner in crime Eddie Thoneick released the anthemic ‘Stronger’ with the vocals of Shawnee Taylor. Their combination turned to be a massive club success. Now the duo are back with a new single featuring the vocals of Skunk Anansie’s Skin.

The track, called ‘If This Is Love’ is again a very anthemic dance song which slowly builds up to the drums and club beats. This song must have been written for the vocals of Skin’s vocals as they blend it so well with the beats. We’re really hoping this is not the only collaboration the guys will do with this lady as this is without a doubt one of the best Dancefloor fillers 2012 has to offer so far.

‘If This Ain’t Love’ by Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick ft Skin will be available for download on February 14 via Itunes.
