Ms Trez have a new track out, ‘Sweet Liar’ and It’s FAB-U-LOUS! listen here

MsTrezSweetLiarCoverLorena, Mira & Marlene from Ms Trez have shown in the past 24 months that they’re hard workers, releasing dancey pop tunes which have proven to raise the roof of practically every party they’ve been played at. For single number 4, the lovely ladies have chosen to go for an amazing ballad, which fits perfectly with the festive season.

‘Sweet Liar’ is written by the team responsible for their first single ‘Louder’, Adam Robinson & Thomas Karlsson. The lyrics tell the end of a tragic relationship and the emotional destruction left behind by a broken heart. Heavy material we know, but Sweet Liar’s arrangement is current, up to date and allows each of the ladies vocals to shine through. Not to mention it’s the kind of ballad we are really missing of the girl bands around. Thank you girls for bringing the Girl Power ballads back!

2013 proves to be their year with their first EP coming out, spanning their four singles and lots more. We are very very very excited to hear more of Ms Trez.

Sweet Liar is now available on iTunes and other leading mp3 retailers.  You can follow the band via their official Facebook page www.facebook.mstrez.com and on Twitter @MsTrezMusic, and mstrezmusic on Youtube. Listen to their new single below:

Rebecca’s ‘Shoulder To Shoulder’ next single – watch video

Liverpudian Rebecca Ferguson, has had quite the year. With an incredible debut album, that smashed its pre-orders on Amazon and huge sales for the standard and deluxe edition of her album, not to mention the international success, Ferguson is definitely in the lead to become one of this globe’s biggest superstars in 2013.

Strangely enough though, the singer has chosen yet one of the original tracks of her album ‘Heaven’ as the her next single release. Not that we mind because ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ is one of our own favourite tracks and we believe it should have been a single much earlier on.

‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ is a heartfelt ballad which showcases the gorgeous voice Ferguson has. Released on December 16, Ferguson is in the running for a Christmas number 1. And don’t mind if we are more than happy with that.

Rebecca’s studio album ‘heaven Deluxe’ is out now, and features the new single ‘Shoulder To Shoulder’. Watch the video below:

Katie Melua premieres Norwegian-shot video for ‘The Walls of the World’

When we reported last week that Georgian/British songstress Katie Melua was set to release her new single on September 17, no news was available about a video for the track.

Mystery solved because today the video, which was shot in the beautiful arctic city of Tromsø in the north of Norway, has been presented and uploaded to the singers Youtube channel.

The video consists of the beautiful Norwegian scenery and  film footage of Katie during her recent performance at Døgnvill Festival in Tromsø. A beautiful video that accompanies a very soothing track.

Released through Dramatico on 17th September, ‘The Walls of The World’ is taken from her latest album ‘Secret Symphony’. The track also serves up to her October Tour.

Jedward are letting their head down.. and we like it!

Surely John and Edward will agree when we say that the two brothers, better known as Jedward are really like marmite; You either love or hate them, yet you can’t deny the two energetic twins to be highly popular in native Ireland and across Europe. The boys, who represented Ireland for two consecutive years at the Eurovision Song Contest, could however change that marmite attitude with the new single ‘Young Love’.

We were really hesitant to click at first, as we were under the impression we might get to see ‘water fountains’ and ‘silly costumes’ but the Jedward boys have really surprised us. On ‘Young Love’ They’re literally letting their hair down, and swapping their usual silly outfits for  a more informal attire to release the rather pleasant pop ballad ‘Young Love’, which reminds us of the glory days of the Backstreet Boys in the nineties.

Big change of direction for John and Edward, but we would be lying if we didn’t say we are excited and approve it. The track does what it says on the tin. It’s sincere, charming plus John and Edward prove they actually have quite a good pair of voices, it’s not easy to sing a ballad so we are pleasantly surprised!  Well done boys! ‘Young Love’ will definitely make many Jedhead hearts melt and make them lot fall even more in love with the twins.

‘Young Love’ the single is taken from the sophomore album by Jedward and can be purchased via online retailers.

Agnes – One Last Time

Yes Sweden is celebrating its glory days, with Loreen’s grip on Europe after winning Eurovision, but there is more great news from the Swedish front. It’s been a good three years since the massive success of ‘Release Me’ but the Swedish songstress Agnes is back with a brand new album and new single ‘One Last Time’.

The pop song, which can be described as a electro ballad,  saw a preview appearing on Scandipop last week and has now officially been serviced to the Swedish radio together with its official video.

In a stripped back black and white video, Agnes is seen in what must be the most golden pair of hot pants since Kylie Minogue’s Spinning Arround area wondering what’s gone wrong in her relationship. There are tears, there is a hunky boyfriend, there’s pain and hurt.

A rather charming electro ballad from the singer, who deserved much more airplay for her other singles taken from her third album ‘Dance, Love, Pop’. Whether the song would have a massive impact on the charts in the UK and have a similar success to ‘Release Me’ is yet to see, as its not as instant. It doesn’t take away the sincerity and the passion felt in the track.  Currently the track, taken from the singers fourth album, is only out in Sweden, but we’re crossing our fingers for an international release at some point this year.

ESC 2012 – Those Who Didn’t Make It: Italy – Nina Zilli – Per Sempre

Important news today for the Eurovision fans. On February 14th 2012, during the annual Sanremo Festival, established singer Nina Zilli was announced as the Italian representative for this years Eurovision Song Contest.

While initially it wasn’t sure whether she was going to perform her song Sanremo song ‘Per Sempre’ at the Eurovision Song Contest a few weeks later it was confirmed the Italian ballad would be reworked to a three minutes and partly sung in English.

However today, the Italian broadcaster RAI have announced that ‘Per Sempre’ is no longer the Eurovision bid for Italy and has been replaced by the title track of  Nina Zilli’s sophomore album ‘L’Amore è Femmina.

So we had a listen to ”Per Sempre” and this is an outstanding ballad. Nina Zilli has a wonderful voice and an exquisite tone colour. ”Per Sempre” is not a standard ballad, it’s full of emotion and just utter brilliance. We are really intrigued now to find out whether the new song ”L’Amore è Femmina” is better than this. Be sure to check from next week onwards when we start reviewing the ESC songs.

But now, it is time for you to discover ”Per Sempre” by Nina Zilli.
