Time for another look in the rest of the world and we’re heading to France today with the electric duo ‘The Shoes’. Guillaume and Benalways, aka the Shoes, can be seen as the French answer to Calvin Harris. They bring electro music featuring many guest vocals.
”Time To Dance” is a happy song, the piano riffle, which continues throughout the song just makes you want to get up and dance. It’s very cheerful, and funky. In some ways the song reminds us during some of the chanting choruses as a mixture of Madonna’s ”Gimme All Your Lovin” and Martin Solveig’s ”Big in Japan” but million times better really.
Last week the Shoes released the official video for their song, which is the lead single of their debut album ‘Crack My Bones’. While you’d expect a really happy chappy video for it, we’re actually being treated to a short film starring actor Jake Gyllenhaal, best known for his role in Brokeback Mountain, who plays the role of a serial killer murdering youngsters who get in his way in clubs, pubs, parks and so on.The director of the video is Daniel Wolfe, who also did the video for Plan B’s ”She Said”.
As we did with Ukrainian Max we give you the option to listen to the audio file or watch the official videoclip, as we do understand not everybody might find the video suitable for viewing.
