Los Angeles based, American electro hop and hip-hop quartet Far East Movement, who scored a massive hit last year alongside Dev (remember ”Like A G6”? ), are bombarding the charts with collaborations. While we’re waiting for the collaboration with Justin Bieber here in the UK (29 April), the quartet have teamed up with upcoming female rapper Rye Rye.
‘Jello’, the latest single is very much going back to where it all began last year for the group. It’s very much an extension of their first global hit single ‘Like A G6′ , minus the vocals of Dev. The vocals, provided by Rye Rye, remind us of a younger Nicki Minaj.
Probably needs a listen or two before you really start to like it but considering their first single was so immense, there’s no doubt this will do fairly well too. And if not there’s always the Beeb’s collab to have another go at, later this month.
‘Jello’ is now available through iTunes and will also feature on the band’s 4th album ”Dirty Bass” which is due for release later this year.
