In our one to watch section for this week we’d like to present you with a band who contacted us through Twitter and spontanuously started following us. Thorsten Bæk, Henrik Engstrøm & and Rasmus Ilsø are the Danish rock/pop act terminal.
The three friends met at high school, and played under a variety of bands until 2007, the year terminal was born. Performing under the name terminal would allow them to write and perform their very own material. Since 2007 the three boys have as their website stated, turned them into men, and they’re here to go all the way. The band is in fact 100% independent and have been working hard to become the only Danish independent act ever to have all of their music videos on the MTV Networks in the US.
And with latest single ”My Chemical” they are without a doubt keeping up the trend. The new single, which the band currently also offers for free on their website, keeps up with the modern pop rock sound, which is similar to acts like Kings of Leon, Muse and Maroon 5 but has a unique distinctive Danish flavour to it. We really love the use of the trumpets in this song, they give the song a very uplifting feel. Add the heartfelt lyrics and you can guess the result. One of these poprock songs which sticks to you for a very long, and which you just have on repeat all the time.
Thorsten, Henrik & Rasmus are currently offering their single for free at the moment from their website. A share on Twitter or Facebook suffices to get your hands on their song. The guys are independent so if you really want to support them, and encourage them to release more great songs like this, definately go and buy ‘My Chemical’. It’s a buy you won’t regret.
