Cher Lloyd is gearing herself up to crack America. The Uk singer, who rose to fame after her appearance on the 2010 season of the X Factor and signed to LA Reid’s record label, has officially revealed the video for her debut single ‘I Want You Back’.
While the UK version featured fellow American X-Factor reject Astro, the video for the US release only features Cher’s vocals although it’s reported the singer is currently re-recording the song with Snoop Dogg as guest rapper.
The video takes place in an American highway restaurant, where Cher deals with her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend.
The single, which was released in the UK on February 19, 2012 peaked at number 25 in the official charts and has since it’s release gone overseas and reached number 3 in New Zealand and number 5 in Poland.
It’s a cheeky, refreshing pop song which should have done better really in the charts, but knowing Cher there’s definately more up her sleeve in the future.
