The hashtag in itself is already brilliant #DrunkDial check out Ed Drewett!

DrewettWe have the impression 2013 is going to be an explosive year with some amazing newcomers in the pop scene. And just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited, we get this massive tune in from Ed Drewett.

Now Ed is not particularly new to the pop scene, having already scored a huge hit with doing the vocals for Professor Green’s smas hit ‘I Need You Tonight, not the mention the writing credits as songwriter on Olly Murs latest album ‘Right Time Right Place’ and boy band ‘The Wanted’ singles ‘All Time Low’ and ‘Glad You Came’

Now Ed, with a track record like that, we’re pretty damn chuffed he’s finally decided to come to the front scene and give it a go. Witty, clever pop, dealing with the topics of an ordinary teen/youngster. I think there’s another Ed who should get worried! In fact, move over, Sheeran! There’s a new Ed in town!

‘Drunk Dial’ is the first single to be released of Ed’s debut album. The track, of which the lyric video made its debut today, is out on March 10.

Something different from Sam Smith… listen to Lay ‘Me Down’

SamsmithWondered who’s the incredibly talented young lad who’s responsible for the tentalizing vocals on Latch ‘s ‘Disclosure’? Well look no further, because we have found him right here for you.

London based Sam Smith, is the proud owner of those impressive vocals. Impressive we say? Oh yes, because Sam has unveiled earlier today a wonderful acoustic version of a brand new track called ‘Lay Me Down’ which we put below for you to enjoy:

Sam Smith, 2013 is going to be your year!

Stooshe’s new video ‘See Me Like This’

With the release of their debut album at the end of November, Stooshe have taken the opportunity to showcase a brand new track, to be featured on their debut. ‘See Me Like This’ follows the trend of their second single, the Motown sounding ‘Black Heart’, although the brand new track is slightly more uptempo with an edgier wink referring to their debut single ‘Love Me’. As many have discussed we are quite surprised this didn’t make it as the third single, instead of TLC cover Waterfalls but it’s definitely mouth watering good as a taster for the album.

We’ve heard this pretty damn catchy new track live during their support set at the J.Lo concert in the O2 and boy oh boy the tight vocal harmonies are very impressive. Bring on that album!

Stooshe are releasing their third single, ‘Waterfalls’, on November 5.

Rita Ora unveils Shine Ya Light Video

Rita Ora’s success story continues with the release of her next single ‘Shine Ya Light’ on November 5. So with only one week to go until its release, perfect timing for Ora to unveil the video for the track.

The video kicks off with a huge group of people awaiting the singer’s arrival. In the video, Rita takes us back to the streets of Kosovo, where her roots lay, surrounded by many locals and fans.

The beat-driven ‘Shine Ya Light’ is less pop than her previous attempts, but has a very R&B/Roc Nation feel to it. Personally we would have liked to see other tracks like ‘Radioactive’ being serviced as new single, but things would have to go very wrong for ‘Shine Ya Light’ not to do as well as its predecessors.

Rita Ora is set to perform on the X Factor’s result show this coming Sunday, ahead of its single release November 5. ‘Shine Ya Light’ is the fourth single taken from ‘Ora’ the debut album of the singer.

A happy luminous Birthday Jedward!

Ireland’s most famous twins are celebrating their 21st birthday today! Congratulations John and Edward! As we don’t really do cybercakes we thought it would be a good idea to take part in the festivities by presenting you the video of the boys new single ‘Luminous’.

Forget everything you know about Jedward because ‘Luminous’ is actually very outstanding and mark a new chapter for this invincible duo. The guys have come a long way since appearing on that ITV talent show (we refuse to name it any more) and the video for ‘Luminous’ shows a very creative side to them. In fact there’s even a lot of flirting going on with the usual indie pop videos. Very nice work Jedward!

‘Luminous’ by Jedward is out now, alongside their second studio album ‘Young Love’. Watch the video for ‘Luminous’ below.
