We have the impression 2013 is going to be an explosive year with some amazing newcomers in the pop scene. And just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited, we get this massive tune in from Ed Drewett.
Now Ed is not particularly new to the pop scene, having already scored a huge hit with doing the vocals for Professor Green’s smas hit ‘I Need You Tonight, not the mention the writing credits as songwriter on Olly Murs latest album ‘Right Time Right Place’ and boy band ‘The Wanted’ singles ‘All Time Low’ and ‘Glad You Came’
Now Ed, with a track record like that, we’re pretty damn chuffed he’s finally decided to come to the front scene and give it a go. Witty, clever pop, dealing with the topics of an ordinary teen/youngster. I think there’s another Ed who should get worried! In fact, move over, Sheeran! There’s a new Ed in town!
‘Drunk Dial’ is the first single to be released of Ed’s debut album. The track, of which the lyric video made its debut today, is out on March 10.
