New Music: terminal – Together We Are One

Thorsten, Henrik & Rasmus from terminal have really become our Danish sweethearts here on GloPop, so we are really excited about the following news:

Only few weeks ago they premiered the acoustic video for single ‘My Chemical’ (which is totally brilliant , check  it out!) and the guys keep spoiling us, as they’ve unveiled their latest single ‘Together We Are One’ this Thursday.

”Together Are One” is rockier than its predecessor and having listened back to the guys impressive back catalogue (Do we need to remind you that these guys are the only independent Danish band to have all their videos premiered on the MTV Networks??), the style of the new single is what defines them best. The lyrics are deep and meaningful and sincere, is another highlight making terminal unique and so special to us. Finally Thorsten’s crisp lead vocals, in combination with Rasmus and Henrik’s drum and guitar skills top it off beautifully. Hit in the making! One more question though for the guys. New album? When? Hint! Hint!

And guess what terminal keeps spoiling us, as new single ‘Together We Are One’ can be downloaded for free from terminal’s website here. Share it with friends, spread the word and follow the guys both on twitter and Facebook.

We know from experience that their music is incredible, so as an independent band it’s really important the guys get supported so they can continue composing great new music. if you the song below, please do support them and buy the track of 0.79p on Itunes.

terminal ‘My Chemical’ acoustic video

the guys from terminal are as you probably have noticed already, our favourite band since GloPop started. Their latest single ‘My Chemical’ is currently one of our most played tracks of 2012 and while the anticipation grows for successor ‘Together We Are One’ terminal have treated us with an acoustic version of ‘My Chemical’ on video.

Filmed in black and white, the two and a half minute video showcases again why it is so important for these guys to be independent so they can continue to create magnificent gems. The stripped back, acoustic version of ‘My Chemical’ is just as amazing as the studio version. Brilliant job guys!

For those who haven’t bought ‘my chemical’ by terminal yet on Itunes, please do. And support them.

Enjoy.

One to Watch: terminal Denmark’s pop/rock at its best!

In our one to watch section for this week we’d like to present you with a  band who contacted us through Twitter and spontanuously started following us. Thorsten Bæk, Henrik Engstrøm & and Rasmus Ilsø are the Danish rock/pop act terminal.

The three friends met at high school, and played under a variety of bands until 2007, the year terminal was born. Performing under the name terminal would allow them to write and perform their very own material. Since 2007 the three boys have as their website stated,  turned them into men, and they’re here to go all the way.  The band is in fact 100% independent and have been working hard to become the only Danish independent act ever to have all of their music videos on the MTV Networks in the US.

And with latest single ”My Chemical” they are without a doubt keeping up the trend.  The new single, which the band currently also offers for free on their website, keeps up with the modern pop rock sound, which is similar to acts like Kings of Leon, Muse and Maroon 5 but has a unique distinctive Danish flavour to it. We really love the use of the trumpets in this song, they give the song a very uplifting feel. Add the heartfelt lyrics and you can guess the result. One of these poprock songs which sticks to you for a very long, and which you just have on repeat all the time.

Thorsten, Henrik & Rasmus are currently offering their single for free at the moment from their website. A share on Twitter or Facebook suffices to get your hands on their song. The guys are independent so if you really want to support them, and encourage them to release more great songs like this, definately go and buy ‘My Chemical’. It’s a buy you won’t regret.
