Taio Cruz better watch out, because the British singer/songwriter is getting some serious competition from the Australian corner.
Tim Omaji, better known under his stagename Timomatic, is an Australian pop/R&B singer/songwriter who rose to fame in 2009 as one of the competing dancers in the local talentshow ‘So You think You Can Dance’, and appeared later on ‘Australia Got Talent’ in 2011, where he came 3rd.
Since, the man has been signed to Sony Music Australia and released his first single ”Set it off” late last year and achieved a respectable 2nd place in the ARIA Singles Charts.
And things have only gone better for Timomatic, as he has now also signed a record deal with EMI, which allows him to go and conquer the rest of the world. His first attempt is the single ”If Looks Could Kill”, which is also the lead for his yet to be named first international album coming out in 2012.
It’s a brilliant Eurobeat dance track, and once you hear it you’ll immediately recognize the similarities with Taio Cruz, with the main difference of Timomatic actually busting some serious moves. Looks very impressive!
”If Looks Could Kill” was released on March 23 and is now available on iTunes.
