British singer song writer Ellie Goulding is back on the scene with new track ‘Hanging On’ featuring Tinie Tempah. It’s the first new track, from the singer’s upcoming new album, since she released her debut single ‘Lights’ in 2009.
The new track ‘Hanging on’, which the singer currently offers for free here, has now also been given the official video treatment which was uploaded on the artist’s Youtube account this afternoon.
The video features close ups of the singer mixed with scenes in which the singer walks around the streets at night. As for the track itself, which is a cover of the Active Child original, it’s another Goulding-gasm. Ellie’s vocals are silky and haunting, as we’re used to by her. The guest appearance of Tinie Tempah, works wonderfully well and lifts the song just that little bit.
Great to have you back Ellie! Bring on that album.
Shame for the fans who were keeping their hopes up for a Spice Girls reunion after Scary spice slip up, but a reunion might not happen. Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice has it too busy to be part of the performance for the Queens Jubilee on June 4th. Shame oh shame, or is she secretly in but pretending to be the difficult one? We’ll soon found out as the names of the artists who will be performing will be announced during this week. The event is being organized by Gary Barlow.
Both Labrinth and M.I.A. have announced their new singles. Labrinth is currently still in the UK charts with ‘Earthquake’ featuring Tinie Tempah. His latest single is called ‘Last Time’ and will be released on March, 11 while he’s debut album follows on March 19. Busy times for M.I.A as she is preparing her Madonna collaboration, premiering this Friday. The lady herself has found time however to release a new single called ‘Bad Girls’. ‘Bad Girls’ will be out tomorow January 31. Funny enough M.I.A’s video for ‘Bad Girls’ will air the same day as Madonna’s ‘Gimme Your Luvin” video. 2 M.I.A’s for the price of 1 (this is better than the Tesco offers).
