Diana Vickers goes ‘Cinderella’ in video for new single.

DV CINDERELLAWith a lead single entitled as ‘Cinderella’ we were kinda expecting Diana Vickers to come up with a modern twist to the fairytale as the storyboard for her video.

And guess what she totally nailed it. I guess, yes she was a bit limited in terms of the theme, but the singer has given the story a modern twist. No step mother and step sisters in sight, but a more self assured Cindy at the ball, kicking some ass with the prince, who turns out look a little geeky, rather than the hunky kind of guys, we tend to see in videos. (We can only applaud you for that, Diana!)

Talking about the track itself Vickers explains, “Cinderella is about being in love and not caring about any of the material things in life, just wanting to be with that one person you adore. It’s about being prepared to lose anything and take every chance to be with them”

‘Cinderella’ is the first new single and predecessor of a second album, (we’re seeing rumours it’s to be called ‘Music that makes the Boys Cry’ for the young singer, which is expected for release later in the year (autumn). The singer rose to fame in 2008 after appearing on the X Factor. Since she’s performed on the West End, has been involved in fashion and released in 2010 her debut album ‘Songs from the Cherry Tree, which showcased what an amazing talent she has for songwriting and crafting pop tunes.

Cinderella is no exception to that rule! The track is out July 21 through So Recordings.

Loreen’s got a new video out (though it’s not a new single)

Yes, while we’re still waiting for the official video for ‘My Heart is refusing me’ (accordingly it’s being shelved for now) Loreen’s been a busy bee. Not only has she been in the studio with producer Kleerup, sheLoreen_Heal‘s also managed to find time to make a brand new video for a track, which isn’t a single as such yet.

Jumping between appearing at several national finals in the main European land, the Eurovision winner has recorded a video for the dark pop track ‘Heal’, taken from her debut album. The video is perfect for the song, dealing with the struggles in a relationship. It’s all frosty and moody, and it’s an absolute highlight and delight to see Loreen in yet another amazing video.

Despite the track receiving the video treatment, it’s not been confirmed as a new single as yet. In fact Loreen decided to release ‘In My Head’ as her next Scandi single. There’s no news yet, on what the successor for ‘My heart is refusing me’ will be in the rest of Europe. Though there’s no need for alarm bells as the singer features on Kleerop’s new single which is out worldwide now.

The Script have a video ready for new single ‘If You Could See Me Now’

the-scriptHaving performed their new single ‘If You Could See Me Now’ on the Graham Norton Show only a few weeks ago, The Script have now unveiled the video for the track.

The track, which was written in a couple of hours one night, over bottles of Scotch Whisky and through rivers of tears and addresses the death of Mark’s parents and of Danny’s father, alternative verses delivered by both singers. The video for the track is footage from live concert mixed with black and white stills of the individual members of the group.

It’s a beautiful ode to the parents of Mark, and Danny’s father, and surely to be yet another big hit for the Irish band. ‘If You Could See Me Now’ is taken from the groups third album, #3 which was released in October 2012 and so far has spawned the singles ‘Hall of Fame’ and ‘Six Degrees of Separation’.

‘If you Could See Me Now’ will be released on March 4. Watch the video below:

boomerangThe ex-Pussycat doll front woman and still current X Factor judge has unveiled the video for her new single ‘Boomerang’. Produced by, Will.IAM, the new single ‘Boomerang’ is to be released on March 10 in the UK.

It’s quite a style change for Scherzy. In fact we had to listen twice before we actually realized it was Nicole. It’s an interesting one this new track but if we’re being honest not quite at the same wave length as her other UK singles (‘Poison’s still our favourite). Should we write off Scherzy completely with this single? not really… we bet with a few more listens we’ll absolutely love it.

The video on the other hand is something we do actually like a lot. Brand new style for Scherzy, with lots of Nicole-twins and even some glitter and lasers, what more do we need.

‘Boomerang’ is out on March 10. It’s the first lead single taken from Nicole Scherzinger’s second album which is out later in the year.

TjaplaceIgoThe Voice runner up Tyler James is ready to release his second solo single next month. To accompany the single, Tyler unveiled the video for ‘Worry About You’.

For the occasion Tyler’s joined by rapper Kano on the new version of ‘Worry About You’. The video for his new single sees the pair meeting up in a Chinese restaurant before heading to the back where a group of Chinese are playing poker with the love of his life. Packed with a pack of cash, can Tyler save his misses from these villains? Check it out for yourself.

‘Worry About You’ is the second single taken from Tyler James album ‘A Place I go’. Previous single ‘Single Tear’ was released in October and reached number 28 in the official charts. ‘Worry About You’ has an official single release February 4. Its original version can already be bought from the album via our GloPop Music Store.

Rebecca’s ‘Shoulder To Shoulder’ next single – watch video

Liverpudian Rebecca Ferguson, has had quite the year. With an incredible debut album, that smashed its pre-orders on Amazon and huge sales for the standard and deluxe edition of her album, not to mention the international success, Ferguson is definitely in the lead to become one of this globe’s biggest superstars in 2013.

Strangely enough though, the singer has chosen yet one of the original tracks of her album ‘Heaven’ as the her next single release. Not that we mind because ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ is one of our own favourite tracks and we believe it should have been a single much earlier on.

‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ is a heartfelt ballad which showcases the gorgeous voice Ferguson has. Released on December 16, Ferguson is in the running for a Christmas number 1. And don’t mind if we are more than happy with that.

Rebecca’s studio album ‘heaven Deluxe’ is out now, and features the new single ‘Shoulder To Shoulder’. Watch the video below:
